Mobile Blood Pressure

We're working in the itACiH project with a "mobile blood pressure" system were kidney patients regularly measure their blood pressure and pulse at home and the data is automatically and wirelessly transferred to a database at the hospital. Health professionals may then follow the pressure/pulse curves through a web application via a standard browser.

We're using standard blood pressure equipment with Bluteooth Low Energy, BLE, communication. A special software in an Android device (tablet, phone or any Android device) establishes a connection to the equipment, receives the data and forwards it, through WiFi/GSM over internet, to the hospital server database.

Mobile Glucose

This is a sub project in the itACIH project implementing an Android software for wireless transfer, Bluetooth, of e.g. glucose analysis data from a HemoCue devices to a server at the hospital for further analysis by physicians.

The video shows how a mobile phone connects to a Bluetooth module (connected to the device via the serial channel) and reads glucose values from the Hemocue device.

In the real application is the data further transferred to a server using Palcom (WiFi or GSM) in the phone.
